Large Waterfall Bridal Bouquets on our Advanced Bridal Course

What a busy day we had today at the school.  Students were learning the skills of putting together a very large cascade bridal bouquet.  These Bouquets are definitely coming back into fashion and we are seeing more and more celebs choosing these wedding bouquets.  

This is floristry work at its best as each and ever piece of foliage & flower head is individually wired.  It could take an experienced florist up to 3 hours to create something like this on their own.  Although there is usually a junior florist on hand to help with the wiring of these bridal bouquets

Today our students got to work with Roses,  Cymbidium (Orchids) &  Dendrobium (Singapore Orchids) and they used lots of Beargrass to create the flowing tails of the bouquet 

I think our girls will have tired arms and fingers after all the hard work they did wiring these bouquets.

Eirflowers Naas, Christmas Demonstration & Open Day

A pleasure as always to visit Eirflowers Naas Christmas Demonstration and Open Day this Sunday. The certainly did not disappoint with Oasis Ambassador Helen Jamieson who was on hand to give all attending a very entertaining demonstration with lots of fab ideas and tips for Christmas. 

We also got the opportunity to catch up with lots of our past students there and it was great to hear how their business are going for them.  It is so important for florists to get together at events like these and network and thanks to John in Eirflowers for providing the opportunity and the refreshments.

Beginners Flower Arranging Course

Our Beginners Commercial Flower Arranging Course designed for those wishing to work in a flower shop or maybe work from home on a Commercial basis 

Well what a busy week we have had, we were delighted to welcome a new bunch of budding Flower Arranging Students from all over the country to the school on Monday for their first introduction to Commercial Floristry.
Over the course of the week the students completed 7 different styled flower arrangements using different flowers and foliage.

All of the Flower Arrangements designed by our students at our flower school are theirs to take home with them each day.  

It really gives our teachers such satisfaction to see the fabulous arrangements our students produce and also the smiles on their face at the end of each day as the leave the school.

Beginners Bridal Students

Aww we had a lovely week this week in the Flower School with students completing Module 3 Beginners Bridal Course.  During this course we saw the girls producing some gorgeous creations, Hand tied bridal Bouquets of Avalanche Roses, Mixed Hand tied Bridal Bouquets, All wired teardrop shower white wedding bouquets, tussy wussy buttonhole, corsages, flower girls wands & baskets, peace roses, contemporary wedding bouquets and much more.  Below is some photos that capture just some of the week.

Sympathy & Funeral Tribute training Course+

We were joined last weekend by a lovely group of students who were completing Module 2 Sympathy & hand Tied Course. This course is probably one of our most light hearted and fun course with he students getting the opportunity to design an array of Funeral tributes.  Some of the girls even commented that some of the displays were too nice to be only suitable for graves & funeral.
